Profile of GSi

GSi (a.k.a. Guido Scognamiglio) is an acronym for Genuine Soundware and Instruments, an independent software developer of VST and Audio Units plugins for the PC and Mac.

Highlights

GSi's line of vintage gear emulation plugins includes the VB3 emulator of the venerable Hammond B3 organ, the MrRay73 Mark II Rhodes emulator, and the Electric Grand EG70 Yamaha CP-70 emulator. GSi's vintage emulators also include effects plugins, such as the WatKat emulator of the Copicat tape loop unit, the Tape Echo GS-201 emulator of the Roland RE-201 tape echo, and the Spring Reverb Type4 emulator of a spring reverb.

History

Prior to GSi, Guido Scagnamiglio ran Soundfonts.it, which hosted several of GSi's plugins and provided a forum and download site for fans of the E-mu Soundfonts sample format.
